10 Best Caroling Songs To Learn

Why Go Caroling?

You may be wondering why anyone would want to carol. I mean going up to random strangers and singing songs you may or may not be familiar with is a terrifying thought. However, that being said, it can be super fun and great way to create good memories.

Where To Go Caroling?

While the best places to go may differ from city to city, It is always fun to start at the house or an area of family or friends. Local community centers or parks can be fun, however it can be a little overwhelming when such places are crowded.

Another great option is to go caroling along the streets that have Christmas lights displays. You know the ones that have a line of cars driving by to look at them or people crowding around the street to watch a light show. This option can be a lot easier to start caroling at because people are already in the Holiday Spirit! Especially if you have a big group of people and can walk along the street singing a song or two and then stop in a specific area to sing a few more. (“Here We Come A Caroling” is often a popular entry song)

Caroling Tips

A few more things to mention before we move on to a list of songs to practice. One of my biggest pieces of advice is although it may be harder to organize, the bigger the caroling group, the less nerve wracking it is. With a bigger group its a lot easier to play off not remembering the lyrics to a song or singing the wrong note which-at least for me personally- can throw off your whole vibe. And lastly just remember to have fun! Caroling isn’t really just about the songs; its about bringing joy to the community and adding a touch of cheer to everyones day. So if you mess up and people hear it, just laugh it off and KEEP GOING! Mistakes make us human and can even lead to funny anecdotes to tell next holiday season.
